This is a video highlighting the engine run of a Fokker Dr.1 Triplane during the 2009 Old Kingsbury Aerodrome Spring (postponed to June 20th) Air Fair. Unfortunately, the winds were such that they were unable to fly the Triplane, but they did display the engine to the very pleased crowd. The Pioneer of Flight Museum’s Dr.1 is a perfectly accurate replicate of a standard WWI Fokker Dr.1. Their Dr.1 has an original, restored, 1919 Le Rhone rotary engine producing 80hp. It was a real treat to see such an old engine come to life!
