Class 47, 47843 Vulcan is seen shunting at Crewe DMD, it first scene going into an siding to couple up to something which turned out to be DB Schenker Class 37, painted in DB Red, 37670 This video shows the Class 47843 moving back and forth with 37670, this video also features a EWS Class 56, 56067 on a back of a lorry, ready to be driven out of Crewe DMD to Stockton-On-Tess for scrapping, this is filmed at filmed 6th April 2011 07/07/10 UPDATE: Class 37, 37670 has left Crewe DMD oon a Low Loader to the scrapyard! 11/04/11: UPDATE on Class 37670! IT’S NOT GOING TO BE SCRAPPED! i’ve only found out about this minutes ago but its still up for Sale, they moved it to Kingsbury so 37670 is out of the way!!

I wouldn’t scrap it not if it has just been repainted in a new livery
She worked fine in good old Ews livery see my vids! bloody DB think that they can slap a new lick of paint on a 50 yr old beast and they will work like new!!

@danski2345 it might have good paintwork but thats about it apparently – she failed soon after going back into traffic.
@danski2345 i agree it looks in great condition but i’m guessing no one wants to buy it, i’m not sure to be honest
why scrap it it dont look that bad a condition ?
the class 37 is out of service if u look close you will realise that she has no name
