37114 with former EWS employed crank Rob Ellis at the controls heads for Crewe IETD with a shiny 86430 which had been painted at Toton. It then runs back through Crewe station with a 92. 37114 lasted in service until December 2004. It was cut up in January 2008 at Kingsbury by European Metal Recycling.

Poor old 114 should haave been saved but I know it was well knacked. Along with 37183, 37114 was in my ‘Premiership’ of the old Inverness ones.
I, too, have fallen foul of the Rob Ellis ‘itchy horn finger’!! Seriously though, Hats off to Rob – more drivers should put on a decent show for the rest of us!!
